Human Resources Business Partner

WAGE RANGE: $71,000-$82,000/annually

JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking an experienced dynamic, collaborative, strategic individual who is compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally aware to work as a Human Resources Business Partner. 

This individual, in partnership with their team, will facilitate, coordinate, and execute the human resources functions in the areas of recruitment, performance management, employee relations, engagement and retention activities, compensation and employee benefits coordination and communications, training and development, and project management. 

They will conduct employee investigations and work with internal and external resources on legal and regulatory issues related to employment.

They will support all employees in building a culture of respect and appreciation and continuing to make Catholic Charities an employer of choice. They will lead department and agency-wide projects and represent HR throughout the agency. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides HR consultation and guidance to managers and staff.
  2. Consults and collaborates with managers in recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention of staff
  3. Facilitates the resolution of performance management and employee relations issues with managers.
  4. Conducts investigations and ensures compliance with employment related legal and policy compliance.
  5. Delivers HR related training and provides Organizational Development support to managers and staff.
  6. Builds strong working relationships with leaders, managers, and staff across CC. Participates in teams across the organization.
  7. Communicates HR related systems and policies to managers. Monitors program effectiveness and participates in continuous improvement of HR systems and processes. 
  8. Lead complex organization wide HR projects.
  9. In the absence of or under the authority of the Senior Director of Human Resources, HR Business Partners make HR related decisions impacting the organization. 
  10. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:

  • A minimum of a BA degree in HR or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR Generalist or Business Partner experience required; non-profit HR experience in serving underrepresented communities preferred.
  • SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of laws governing all areas of employment and human resources management
  • Strong consultative, partnering, and relationship building skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness.
