Position Information
The AmeriCorps member in this role will serve as the Administrative Assistant with Curly Me!. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, self-motivated, and culturally competent administrative coordinator willing to commit 14 hours a week to helping the organization accomplish our mission. The individual will work directly with the executive director and core volunteer leadership positions, enable consistently high quality experiences, and is essential to the success of this growing volunteer organization. Service Term and Benefits
This is an AmeriCorps position. AmeriCorps is a unique service opportunity. AmeriCorps members complete a term of service from March 2024 through February 2025. Members will serve a minimum of 675 hours during this time, approximately 14 hours per week. AmeriCorps members will receive a living allowance of $8,850 during their term of service. This living allowance will be paid bi-weekly. Additionally, upon successful completion of a term of service, AmeriCorps members will receive an education award of $2,626.
About the Organizations
Curly Me! is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, empower and encourage Black girls between the ages of 5 and 14 and their families. As our state attracts families with Black girls, we work to make sure they have the tools and relationships they need to excel.
Thriving Utah is an AmeriCorps State program designed to support local nonprofits and public agencies in increasing their organizational capacity. Thriving Utah AmeriCorps members create and execute a capacity building plan tailored to their organization’s needs, services, and goals.
