Position Overview
The Corporate Controller will manage the accounting team and be responsible for US GAAP and statutory accounting and will perform an important role in accounting for revenue and on a percentage of completion basis. In addition, the controller is responsible for maintaining and improving the Company’s system of internal controls in addition to managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, employee travel & expense programs. The Controller will play an important role in internal and external reporting.
A successful candidate must have experience in a fast-paced organization and have demonstrated the ability to manage the financial close to meet reporting timelines, while ensuring the accuracy of the financial results. The successful candidate will have experience working within private equity owned corporations and must be familiar with implementing controls and driving cross-functional process improvements.
The Corporate Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will partner within Finance and other G&A teams, as well as our business.
Role and Responsibilities
 

• Manage accounting and finance operations functions and ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial reporting
• Work closely with FP&A to ensure the accuracy of our financial results, financial reporting, and forecasts
• Steer the implementation and maintenance of a company-wide internal controls and integrity of accounting records
• Help manage a network of third-party service providers to bring efficiencies to the accounting process and team
• Support accounting for complex transactions as necessary
• Assist with selection, implementation, and use of software tools and ERP systems
• Serve as a key member of the finance management team, as well as a business to other departments within the company
• Provide overall leadership for the accounting team, including hiring best in class staff

Professional Qualifications
 

• A minimum of 3 years in a Controller Role and 5-7 years of related experience, with increasing levels of responsibility and seniority
• Technically astute qualified accountant with experience in fast growing companies
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting processes, internal controls, and systems
• Leadership experience in company with institutional (VC or PE) investors
• Hands-on leader with the ability to attract and retain highly motivated and talented finance team
• Prioritizes analytical rigor in thinking and decision making
• Collaborative, inclusive and open; able to communicate up and down the organization
• Integrity, credibility, and a commitment to making the company successful
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• BA or equivalent degree required
• CPA certification required
