Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax providers to efficiently facilitate audits and tax return preparation.
- Build and lead the Accounting and FP&A teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop staff, empowering them to reach their full potential.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to provide key financial and operational business insights.
- Support quarterly business reviews meetings with department heads to review performance versus business plans.
- Prepare ad hoc reports, financial reviews, and special projects as directed by the leadership team.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish financial goals and strategies aligned with the Company's objectives.
- Establish internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor financial performance indicators and take proactive measures to address potential issues.
- Finance owner for efficient utilization of business systems.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and leverage technology for efficiency gains.
- Assess and lead the implementation of new systems and processes, ensuring smooth integration and user adoption.
- Stay abreast of advancements in financial software and tools, recommending solutions that enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Actively work to promote the Company’s culture focused on team building and morale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field of study required. MBA or Master’s in Accountancy a plus.
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience; Durable Medical Equipment industry experience a plus.
- CPA preferred; Public Accounting, Public Company and SEC Reporting experience a plus.
- Thorough understanding of financial principles, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional areas and influence decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a history of developing high-performing finance teams.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel, CRM, and medical billing software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and transparency.
- Results-oriented with appropriate urgency and follow-up.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently.
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

- Applies sound judgment when making decisions and communicating with internal and external customers.
- Occasional travel, less than 5%.
