Overview:
Metroplex Medical Centres seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a Healthcare Financial Controller, you'd play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our healthcare organization, ensuring they remain financially healthy while delivering quality care. You will oversee all company financial activities and ensure accounting standards and regulations compliance. This is a key leadership role within the organization, requiring strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and the ability to provide strategic guidance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets for various departments within the healthcare organization and forecasting future financial needs based on trends and projections.
Financial Reporting: Generating and analyzing financial reports to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. This includes balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Cost Management involves identifying areas where costs can be reduced or optimized without compromising patient care. This might involve negotiating with vendors, implementing cost-saving measures, and analyzing the efficiency of current processes.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant financial and reporting requirements, such as HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization. This might involve analyzing the financial impact of new initiatives, investments, or regulation changes.
Internal Controls:** Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and prevent fraud or financial mismanagement.
Strategic Financial Management: Collaborating with other leadership team members to develop long-term financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.

Qualifications:
A master's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field is required.
Relevant professional certifications :
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) offered by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) offered by the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM)
At least seven years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or healthcare administration. A solid understanding of the healthcare industry, including its unique financial challenges, reimbursement models, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, is essential for success in this role. Experience working in a healthcare setting or familiarity with healthcare finance principles is beneficial.
