Objective:
The Account Manager is the frontline communicator with clients, prospects, vendors and team members to facilitate the solving of client challenges and to ensure projects run accurately and smoothly from the initial contact stage through production through invoicing and follow-up. This demands a comprehensive knowledge of company services, constant communication both written and verbal with all involved parties, ongoing dissemination of job specifications, and the ability to provide solutions. This role is charged with ensuring that the client experience has a positive outcome and that clients, to the best of our ability, become repeat clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To understand the customer’s needs and be able to accurately communicate them to the Data Processing and the Production Team, along with any outside vendors.
To understand how each job fits in the system and the most efficient way to ensure the job is successfully completed within the timelines needed.
To understand piece design and how each job meets the USPS regulations and the ability to recommend changes to piece design for efficiency and postage savings.
Actively follow jobs through the process until completion and follow up with customers when the job is complete.
Agree to the mission, vision, and core values of the company.
1-3 years of account management and/or business development experience, ideally in a mail house, marketing, promotional or advertising agency setting.
Understanding of process flow and/or supply chain.
Excellent customer service, account management and presentation skills.
Detail oriented, well organized and able to handle multiple projects at any given time.
