Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Location: In Office - Corporate

Reports To: Human Resources Director

Classification: Exempt

Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full life cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening, and recommending candidates by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external) to achieve staffing initiatives for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Duties

  • Partner with Corporate and Regional Leaders to forecast plans for key staffing initiatives
  • Manage full cycle recruiting process from start to finish
  • Attract passive job seekers by using creative sourcing strategies
  • Develop strong relationships with hiring managers across departments and regions
  • Maintain recruiting process and create a positive candidate experience
  • Develop and implement search strategy and customize to specific roles
  • Assist with vendor selection process and track metrics
  • Familiarity of Houston market and surrounding areas
  • Other Recruiting related duties as assigned
  • Proactively keeps hiring managers and the HR Director informed of all recruiting activity.
  • Provides expertise on the employment market, trends and innovative recruiting techniques to ensure competitiveness in hiring.
  • Source diverse talent pools and keeping up to date with the new sourcing techniques.
  • Works with HR Director to develop recruiting strategy based upon forecast and company goals.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 3 years’ recruiting experience working on a variety of roles.

Excellent communication skills.

Clear understanding of the full life cycle recruiting process

Recruiting experience in Property Management preferred.

Language Ability:

Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.

Reasoning Ability:

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite, Applicant Tracking Software
