About Operations:

The operations function forms the backbone of any company. At STX, the Operations team, which comprises IT, Finance, Human Resources and Middle Office, works closely with all other teams and desks to ensure that STX continues to perform and deliver at an exceptionally high level. As a critical partner in the business, Operations also guarantees compliance with all the relevant rules and regulations. Moreover, the Operations team works collaboratively to make sure that STX has the necessary structures and processes in place to grow and develop further in new products, industries, and markets.

Role of Talent Acquisition Specialist:

Are you ready to revolutionize the talent landscape in the renewable fuels industry? STX is on the rise, and our Talent Acquisition team is growing along with us. We are actively seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in our new Houston office. In this role, you will be a key player in our success story, responsible for not just recruiting, but curating, nurturing, and expanding our talent pool. Beyond daily recruitment tasks, you will lead initiatives related to employer branding, optimize the candidate experience, and contribute to shaping the distinctive culture of our Houston office.

We are in search of an expert with 3-5 years of corporate recruiting experience specifically in the renewable fuels sector. The ideal candidate brings more than just skills; you bring a robust network and firsthand experience in this specialized field. If you're a proactive, hands-on professional who can navigate the intricacies of the renewable fuels industry, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the renewable fuels space, utilizing your industry knowledge and network to attract top talent uniquely suited to our organization's needs.
  • Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate closely with hiring managers, positioning yourself as a strategic ally, and aligning recruitment strategies precisely with the organization's objectives.
  • Exceptional Candidate Experience: Ensure an unparalleled candidate experience, reflecting our commitment to respect, transparency, and professionalism throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Talent Magnet: Work closely with business stakeholders to comprehend their requirements fully, devising and executing strategies to attract the best local talent in the industry.
  • Process Excellence: Develop, refine, and uphold high-quality recruitment processes, promoting efficiency, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Proactive Pipeline Cultivation: Establish and sustain an active talent pipeline, employing your industry connections to maintain a proactive approach to talent acquisition.
  • Project Leadership: Actively engage in team-level projects and initiatives designed to enhance the overall candidate experience, fostering successful hiring and organizational growth.
  • Values Ambassador: Embody and promote our unique values, educating hiring managers on industry-specific best practices and standards.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Take ownership of the complete recruitment process, from initial candidate sourcing to interviewing, offer negotiation, and successful candidate onboarding, across a diverse array of positions within the renewable fuels sector.
  • Candidate Advocacy: Guarantee that every candidate enjoys a positive, respectful, and empowering experience during their interaction with our organization.
  • Talent Community Building: Utilize your extensive network to foster relationships within key talent communities, exploring both short and long-term opportunities.
  • Employer Brand Enhancement: Drive the development and execution of initiatives aimed at fortifying our employer brand's presence and reputation specifically within the environmental commodities space.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of corporate recruiting experience in the renewable fuels industry and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the renewable fuels space, including industry trends, technologies, and key players.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, from candidate sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Collaborate effectively within a dynamic global team while also demonstrating the capacity to take initiative and drive progress autonomously.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and contributing to talent acquisition projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-quality recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with hiring managers.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to recruiting, with the ability to think ahead and act as a strategic business partner to the organization.
  • A commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate experience and enhancing employer branding in the renewable fuels industry.
  • Experience in commercial roles, with a preference for recruiting in operational field positions.
  • Ability to work hybrid from the Houston office.
