SteelPoint Machine Tool is Hiring a Remote Business Development Representative

Role Overview:
As a Business Development Representative at SteelPoint Machine Tool, you will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing new business opportunities while supporting the Regional Sales Manager in managing existing accounts. You will represent SteelPoint Machine Tool, a member of On Point Holdings, in cultivating relationships with metal fabrication manufacturers across the USA and Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the metal fabrication industry. This will be done via phone calls, email campaigns, social media and other methods.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to create appointments and drive sales initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Represent SteelPoint Machine Tool and its exclusive partnerships with professionalism and integrity.
  • Update CRM systems and provide timely information to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Meet and exceed sales objectives set by company leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering studies preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the metal fabrication industry.
  • 1-10 years of professional sales experience, with a preference for experience in the machine tool industry.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and disciplined work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage small to large-scale capital equipment projects.
