Spring Creek Towers is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near New York, NY

Position Description: SUMMARY OF POSITION The overall objective of the HR Coordinator is to assist the Human Resource Department in handling administrative tasks, maintaining records and personnel files, preparing for recruitment needs, and planning employee focused events. Possessing strong organizational skills and efficient work habits are qualities sought in an HR Coordinator. You will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures and focus on learning how our organization runs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Complete HR functions such as: recruiting, employee relations, benefits, payroll and employee engagement
Assist with the organization and execution of new hire onboarding, orientation, and training process
Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain Excel and PowerPoint presentations
Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage files
Be the backup to payroll; learn & process the payroll function
Manage databases and input information, data, and records
Maintain human resource information system (HRIS) and keep data current
Enroll users in training modules via the learning management system (LMS)
Manage the leave of absence (LOA) spreadsheet and assist in completing forms
Assists with the maintenance of permanent personnel records
Reviews and updates cooperative organization chart as needed
Plans and executes employee engagement events
Assists in off-boarding efforts through exit interviews and record updates
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES High school degree or equivalent;
Associates degree in Human Resources management or related field preferred
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
At least one year of related work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to work without supervision
Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use discretion and exhibit high level of confidentiality.
