Spring Creek Towers is Hiring a Compliance Manager Near Brooklyn, NY

Position Description: The Compliance Manager oversees Section 236 and Fair Market Programs, as well as assists with the Section 8 Program. This role is responsible for processing tenant annual recertifications, interim, and initial certifications. This role requires experience in Affordable Housing and knowledge of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) compliance guidelines. The Compliance Manager should possess great organizational skills, is detail oriented, can multi-task, has the ability to coordinate complex situations, prioritizes work, meet deadlines, is analytical, has great customer service and is reliable. Essential Functions: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee Section 236 and Fair Market Programs and assists with the Section 8 Program.

Assist with Project Based Section 8 program as needed.

Process tenant annual recertification, interim and initial certifications.

Able to process and complete files from start to finish.

Run monthly and quarterly EIV reports. Comply with all EIV Requirements.

Meet with tenants to discuss concerns, related to rent charges determine by recertification(s).

Ability to calculate household income and assets while verifying the proper allowances and deductions.

Assists the Collections and Legal Depts. with court cases, pertaining to recertification issues.

Run and post monthly recertification notices to residents.

Conduct auditing of recertification files completed by recertification specialist to ensure property are in compliance with applicable Affordable Housing Program rules and regulations.

Assist with preparation for MORs.

Run and post monthly and post recertification notices.

Knowledge of MORs and of HUD Handbook.

Represent the company in a professional manner at all the times.

Assist staff, Assistant Director of Recertification and Senior Director as needed.

Assist with training of new staff in processing recertification in accordance with HUD guidelines.

Support oversight of and management of compliance related issues.

Provides organizational and administrative support for the Recert Dept. as needed.

Perform other related duties as assigned (i.e.: reporting, administrative tasks, etc.)
