Second Chance, Inc., a nonprofit social enterprise, is in need of a Human Resources Generalist/ HR Director to manage the day-to-day human resources operations in our 250,000 square foot furniture warehouse for our growing retail operations.
Your role is responsible for heavy recruitment, policy administration, regulatory and employment law compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, on-boarding, performance management, and training and development. This position is highly collaborative and requires the establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships throughout the organization.

This position has the potential to expand to supervise an HR Assistant, but currently does serve as a coach and mentor for all employees.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, normal business hours, up to 40 hours weekly.
