Summary:
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to become a part of team! You will be responsible for managing HR activities for the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Onboarding and offboarding
• Training and development
• Spearhead and Coordinate events focused on employee recognition and dedication
• Manage the employee and companywide calendar-PTO requests, benefits, etc.
• Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
• Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and/or other issues
• Spearhead the employee recognition program
• The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as staffing, engagement and retention.
• This position will be performed in accordance with Prevention Central's Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
• Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, licensure, contractual and certifications.
• Maintains unemployment compensation portal; submit claim information, file appeals, track process.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member.
• Track data from Employee Surveys, follow up with Directors to address concerns and team members to complete surveys.
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
• Maintain team member records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details.
• Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Degree in Human Resources Field
• Previous experience in Human Resources or other related fields
• Experience in conflict resolution
• People oriented and results driven
• Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
• Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
• Ability to build rapport with all employees
• Strong leadership qualities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• In-depth knowledge of labor and employment laws is a plus
