About the Role >>> Business Development Intern

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team as an Intern in Business Development at Olema, reporting to the Director of Business Development. As a Business Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment and gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative women’s oncology company with significant potential to transform breast cancer treatments. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize potential deals and partnerships. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about business development, have exceptional analytical and communication skills, and are eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This position is an 8-week paid summer internship. The base pay is $22/hour and you will be working 40 hours a week in a hybrid workplace model with 2-3 days per week onsite at our Cambridge office.

Your work will primarily encompass: 

• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities 
• Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities and partnerships 
• Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders 
• Assist in the due diligence process for potential deals and partnerships 
• Maintain and update databases and records related to business development activities 
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment and progress towards goals 
• Support the development and execution of business development strategies and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Currently a first-year student enrolled in a 2-year MBA program, or currently a third- or fourth-year student enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program
• Demonstrated scientific acumen/interest in life sciences (e.g., coursework, previous internship experience)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software system is required

The base pay range for this position is expected to be $22/hour. The pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
