Deerpath is focused on providing debt capital for acquisitions, refinancings, ownership transitions and growth capital to companies in the U.S. lower middle market. Deerpath has investment offices in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale, as well as overseas investor relations offices in London, Seoul, Tokyo and Brisbane. Primary Responsibilities

• Generate deal flow for direct lending initiatives.
• Conduct research and engage with business brokers to identify potential opportunities.
• Assist with establishing and nurturing relationships with bankers to enhance deal sourcing efforts.
• Reach out to the independent sponsor community, evaluating suitability for lending products based on deal size and capital backing.
• Participate in industry conferences to develop proprietary deal flow.
• Assist with providing dedicated coverage for small sponsors with fund sizes under $250 million
• Generate leads and identify potential sponsors through various channels such as networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in Business Development. Investment Banking, Buyside Transaction Advisory or Lending/Private Equity backgrounds are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or related field
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and business trends.
• Excellent communicator, with ability to interface with sponsors and management teams.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel
• Preference given to candidates in Boston, Chicago and Florida and open to other locations.
