Job Summary
Launched in July 2020, Moonshot Compost is a Texas start-up, with operations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Waco, that collects and consolidates food waste for composting.
● We’re looking for a sales manager who is energetic, personable, and driven. You should enjoy meeting people and be excited to engage people about our mission to divert food waste from landfills.
● The role will involve direct, in-person sales, operations, and location visits; the administrative portion of the role may be executed remotely.
This is an high impact role that reports to the founders of the company. If you are looking to be a part of a company making a difference in your community please apply. Sales experience is preferred, however the hiring team will consider candidates who have a passion for tackling climate change concerns and have demonstrated success in lieu of sales experience.
Duties
Sales & Account Management (70%)
● With direction and training, making outbound calls to sell company services
● Traveling within service areas, predominantly Houston, but including at company expense Austin and Dallas, to represent the company and achieve assigned goals
● Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales data in Customer Relationship Management program
Account Management (20%)
● Manage accounts assigned to you to keep accounts long-term and expand revenue, when possible
General Support (10%)
● Special projects that arise from time-to-time
● Researching and monitoring industry market conditions
● Preparing new commercial subscriber data forms
● Coordinating new accounts with the technology team
Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies
Skills
● Time management: Ability to manage time
● Software proficiency: Proficiency in all G Suite apps for word processing, spreadsheets, email, and collaboration; and familiarity with Customer Relationship Management software
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field is preferred
● Pass drug screening and background check

Compensation
● $40,000 year base salary
● $40,000 additional projected commission opportunity
● Uncapped commissions, established sales area with existing accounts and proven potential
