Intevac is Hiring a Sales Account Manager Near Santa Clara, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Develops and executes growth strategy at key automotive customer. Manages activities to achieve the sales objectives for account. Delivers booking, billing, and service penetration results annually. Prepares pricing quotes and business proposals, manages opportunity forecast process, etc. Owns execution of sales business process for sales objectives. Engages customers and builds long-term, trusting relationships to be able to influence customer's business decisions. Able to successfully engage with customer's Engineering Directors and above and have influence on them. Ability to identify customer needs and develop/ implement sales strategies to address. Has accountability for planning, executing, and submitting the quarterly and annual Sales business plan within the account under his/her scope of control. Communicates and presents the customer's needs to the Engineering Group. Possesses strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Can build and articulate clear value propositions and customer messaging.

  • Develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging and existing opportunities and markets (Strategic sales planning)
  • Present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality (Effective presentation)
  • Persuade, convince, or gain support and commitment from others for ideas, proposals, projects, directions, and solutions; impact decisions within and outside Intevac (Influencing others)
  • Use appropriate interpersonal skills to develop, maintain and strengthen effective relationships with customers and internal partners to help achieve business goals (Building relationships (Building relationships)

Demonstrated Knowledge:

  • Thin film deposition equipment and manufacturing knowledge
  • Familiar with basic Finance knowledge (read and understand financial reports)
  • Familiar with customer's and Intevac's business models, organization, culture, people, team and the capabilities
  • Familiar with Sales contract terms and product concepts
  • Familiar with market trends of customer's, i.e. Contract Manufacturer, customers

Experience:

  • 3-5 year sales experience in automotive related industry

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Major in Engineering and Technology, Industrial Engineering or MBA is a plus
