Human Resources Director

This position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resource functions. Responsible for policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

What Do You Offer Us?

  • Provide ongoing assistance to managers and staff in all areas of human resources such as recruitment, disciplinary action, and equal employment opportunity to ensure fair treatment and compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Create and manage the updating of Company policies and procedures and serve as a resource to management and employees regarding the interpretation and application of Company policies
  • Manage and monitor the training database system and the Talent Management Portal
  • Act as leave of absence administrator manage all tracking and provide monthly reports for FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Workman’s Comp, Maternity Leaves, and other approved leaves once the determination of status has been made
  • Manage recruiting process including applicant flow, screening, interviewing, and offer letters. Complete background checks for employees including references, criminal, and credit when applicable
  • Manage new hire and onboarding and orientation process as well as ensure the correct new hire setup, status changes, and pay adjustments are completed correctly
  • Responsible for HR Compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct investigations, compile reports, develop position statements, and follow up with employees in a timely manner
  • Additional duties as assigned

What is Required?

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • 2 years of human resources management experience preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to manage time effectively in order to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to handle and keep extremely sensitive information confidential
  • Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to diverse groups of people and people on all levels

This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
