Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, working in legal case management systems, client invoicing systems and Quick Books. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background working with legal servicing or mortgage servicers in the accounting area.
This position is in office but offers a hybrid option as well. There are tow options for offices - Abilene, TX or Las Vegas, NV.
Duties:
Perform daily accounting tasks related to invoicing, accounts payable, matching bank transactions and posting payments.
Create daily excel exports from various case management systems.
Audit and reconcile daily accounting data extracts.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in basic accounting - invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
2. Background in legal services accounting a plus.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Problem solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Skills:
1. Experience with accounting systems - Quick Books a plus
2. Ability to work with Microsoft product suite - specifically excel.
