We are excited to welcome a new Senior Sales Manager that will not only lead our existing Account Executive team, but will also work closely with our Marketing, Customer Success & Product teams to ensure a seamless buyer engagement throughout the buyer journey. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for helping craft & execute repeatable sales motions that help land & expand paying customers. This role ensures efficiency in every sales conversation and has fingerprints on our sales process. In addition, you’ll be responsible for helping identify new business opportunities with prospects, converting them to paying customers, and expanding them company wide with Guru. This role also collaborates with our Business Operations team to ensure KPIs are in place to help provide insight into what is working well and where we can improve. Responsibilities include: team building, strategic coaching, playbook execution, hiring & training, defining moments along the buying journey for sales engagement and much more!

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, build & iterate on a repeatable sales motion to obtain new business and to expand existing customers.
  • Support and ensure customer renewals by setting them up for long term success
  • Manage the Account Executive team, both in person and remotely, and support the team in exceeding the defined sales goals.
  • Team player who supports achievement of sales goals by coaching and 1:1 support of Account Executives at various points in the buyer journey.
  • Support and ensure team adherence by to all our sales process, value cards and Salesforce opportunity management
  • Ability to build high trust relationships; strong desire to mentor and develop others
  • Excellent verbal/phone and writing skills; you should create your own luck
  • Ability to be assertive and persuasive without being aggressive
  • Superb organizational/follow up skills
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard Account Executives, as needed.

Requirements

  • Preferred 3 years experience managing a sales team in a SAAS and/or start up environment
  • 10 years of sales experience
  • 2 - 5 years in start up environment 
  • Have regularly met & exceeded quota in a similar Manager or Senior Account Executive role previously
  • Up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in prospecting
  • Proficient with Salesforce platform including a strong understanding of key metrics
  • Proficient in Google Suite

Compensation and benefits:

Note: Disclosure as required by relevant state law of the base salary compensation range for this role when being hired in Colorado, New York and Washington. The base salary compensation range for the position outlined is $126,000- $170,000. You may also be offered incentive stock options and benefits. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Paid sick leave, Paid parental leave, Paid family leave, Paid holidays, Mental health and wellbeing offerings, HSA/FSA available (where applicable), Office set-up reimbursement, Life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage, Short & long term disability coverage, and a Company-issued laptop and accessories.

The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
