Requirements Human Capital Management (HCM) Specialist, University Services Central Business Office - Georgetown University Job Overview The Human Capital Management (HCM) Specialist - a member within the University Services Central Business Office - supports one or more functional units via accurate and timely processing of all staffing transactions and maintenance of faculty, staff, and student employee records in the university's Human Capital Management (HCM) system. They collaborate with a cross-departmental team to coordinate the production and processing of compliant supporting documentation, and shepherd the transactions from inception to completion; and provide exemplary customer service to a diverse group of constituents, acting as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert to guide users and troubleshoot/resolve HCM issues as they arise. Work Interactions Reporting directly into the University Services Admin Service Center and collaborating with a team of HCM Specialists to ensure the effective and timely service of HCM transactions for the team's assigned units, the HCM Specialist provides an exceptional levels of service in working closely with the HRIS, Compensation and Classification, Payroll and Recruiting departments; and serve as first point of contact and coordinator for employees, managers, and administrators in their assigned units. Qualifications Bachelor's degree Up to 2 years of relevant experience (note: an equivalent combination of education and work experience work experience will be considered) Demonstrable skills using document and spreadsheet software - e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of constituents Strong organizational, analytical and time-management skills Ability able to act with sensitivity and confidence Preferred qualifications 3 years of experience Human Resources work experience Human Resources Workday experience Work Mode: Telework.
