Program Manager, Business and Management - School of Continuing Studies - Georgetown University

Job Overview
The Program Manager for Business and Management serves as a key member of the Academic Operations department, responsible for ensuring the successful management of various administrative practices for degree-seeking programs at the School of Continuing Studies. They provide key support to students through onboarding to registration in the first semester of matriculation at the School of Continuing Studies, and assures administrative practices that encourage students to accept enrollment and register in their first semester.
The Program Manager has operational responsibility, which facilitates administration for academic programs which includes support in academic course scheduling, and the development and management of a communications strategy for academic programs within their cluster. Additionally, they collaborate with program staff and faculty when supporting student initiatives, which include oversight and management of the event creation process for the cluster and the department, and involve ideation, logistics, catering, and coordination with the SCS Events Team.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Business and Management, the Program Manager has standard interactions with:
1. Assistant and Associate Deans and Faculty Directors - to design, develop course schedules, student advising structures, student experience events, and beyond
2. SCS Academic Operations - regarding strategies for operational initiatives focused on the student experience
3. SCS Enrollment Management - regarding goals, strategies, processes, and issues that arise. Collaborate on specific enrollment issues involving courses or programs
4. SCS Events Team -regarding various academic, professional, and social events.
5. Faculty, Staff, Students - regarding management of communication and service strategy with faculty and students within the academic programs.
6. All SCS employees - works with all in support of Tropaia and Commencement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
At least 3 years of administrative experience - preference for Student Affairs experience
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Strong writing and communication skills, including comfort with public presentations to a wide range of audiences
Ability to work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professional, technical, and administrative staff, and to integrate resources on a timely and organized basis
Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Reliance on own experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Commitment to the mission of the School of Continuing Studies, and to the vision of Dean
A sense of humor and desire to work with a variety of people in expanding the work of the SCS
Fluency in all Microsoft office products
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on campus, 3 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.
