An ideal candidate for this role will be well-rounded in market segmentations and connected to current
and neighboring markets. The Aster functions as both a hotel and a membership club, so any candidate
with experience in Membership sales would be ideal. This role is the sole leader for the sales
department with full oversight on all financial responsibilities and leadership over one direct report.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize
market penetration. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities for growth, and adapt
strategies accordingly.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals to ensure they achieve individual and
team targets. Provide ongoing training, support, and guidance to enhance their performance
and professional development.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, event
planners, travel agencies, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for
clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Drive business development initiatives to expand our client base and revenue streams. Identify
and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and attending
industry events.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and
proposals. Ensure all materials effectively communicate the value proposition of our hospitality
services and offerings.
Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze sales data, and generate regular reports for
senior management. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales processes and
drive continuous improvement.
Lead contract negotiations with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring alignment with
company objectives and policies. Negotiate terms and conditions that maximize value for both
parties.
Collaborate closely with other departments including operations, finance, membership,
programming and events, to ensure seamless execution of client requirements and deliver
exceptional service.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within the hospitality industry, with a
proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to excel.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, including market trends, competitors, and
customer preferences.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Systems: Knowledge or experience with Triple Seat, Stay in Touch, Travel click, Tour Connection
and Cvent.
Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to
meet appropriate objectives.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees
and guests.
Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
Attend all club and hotel required meetings and training.
Participate in weekend and evening coverage as required.
