A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PASTRY LINE COOK

You start each day ready to be a part of a fast-paced and fun culinary environment. As a Pastry Line Cook, you take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our pastry kitchen. You love being able to create delicious baked goods, pastry items, wedding cakes, and other special sweet preparations. For banquets and receptions, you supervise the preparation and service of pastries to the delight of our members and guests. You take great pride in each and every product that leaves the kitchen because you have tested it to determine that it is prepared and plated according to your high standards. Being able to create smiles through your culinary creations' attractive and appetizing presentation is your favorite part of your job.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently completing college education in the culinary field (preferably in pastry or graduated)
• A sound understanding of sanitation practices (ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred)
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Basic math skills
