Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation. Your culinary expertise and leadership skills will contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and implement menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Estimate food requirements and manage inventory levels
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other employees
- Train new kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing recipes
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or catering establishment
