Job Description

Apartment List recently acquired Diffe.rent AI, a growing & leading prop-tech startup and is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to become a key piece of the newly established GTM team that offers an AI leasing assistant product that’s disrupting the rental & property management industries.

As a Sales Engineer for Diffe.rent AI, you will be part of a small, fast-moving, new product incubation team. We are looking for someone (ideally in EST) who wants to move fast, sell AI products, and partner with teams in both the U.S. and Israel to deliver value to properties and renters in the U.S.

Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:

  • Help clients understand and solve technical problems through the sales funnel, during onboarding and with ongoing usage
  • Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide technical sales support
  • Perform technical setup and implementation of the product
  • Partner with customer success to facilitate product expansion within existing clients by identifying and solving issues
  • Prepare and give technical presentations to customers about our products and services
  • Assist in closing sales by following up after initial contact and building trusting relationships
  • Train non-technical members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company's products and services
  • Identify customer needs, areas for improvement and communicating them, as well as possible solutions to the product team ensuring the customer needs are represented in the product roadmap

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be successful:

  • 2 years experience as a Sales Engineer or similar technical capacity
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) onboarding, implementation, sales
  • Experience partnering with and presenting to external clients
  • The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills: written and oral
  • Results-oriented and “get stuff done” mindset
  • Willingness to travel
  • Bonus points for:
    • Fluent in Hebrew
    • Experience in AI, Proptech, SaaS, productivity tools, machine learning
    • A bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, or related field
