The Position:
Consistent with the credit union mission of providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the Small Business Relationship Manager will: Focus on acquiring new members by promoting and selling credit union products and services. Expand existing credit union business member relationships by cross selling business products and services, deepening deposit relationships, and encouraging product usage. Collaborate with Financial Center personnel as the subject matter expert while making joint calls on existing and prospective members in order to grow the credit union’s business memberships. Maintain relationships with strategic centers of influence, but internal and external, in order to effectively deepen the member experience as their trusted advisor.
As a Small Business Relationship Manageryour primary responsibilities will be to:
- Actively listens during outside sales calls to prospective members in order to uncover & assess needs and recommend the appropriate products and services.
- Attends Financial Center meetings to provide business services updates and training, and provides mentoring and coaching to ensure that sales and service standards are being exceeded. Makes joint calls to enhance consultative selling skills.
- Cross-sells, networks, and promotes AmeriCU services to the members of the community, and positively represents AmeriCU at trade & service organizations.
- Requests and evaluates information provided by the business borrower necessary to initiate an underwriting request.
- Maintains ongoing business relationships with current members in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities and solicit other new business.
- Attends meetings & training within the credit union, as well as external events to develop Centers of Influence referral opportunities. Provides guidance to teammates on individual strategies and tactics to enhance the Credit Union’s business development efforts.
- Proactively expands business relationships through facilitating the opening of new deposit accounts, cash management products, merchant services, insurance, wealth management and other financial services from prospective and existing members.
- Demonstrates and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP as well as knowledge of various SBA programs.
