Consistent with the credit union mission of providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the Cards Support Specialist will support the administration and operational staff of the Card Services & ATM Department in conjunction with policies and programs that support and further the credit union with the strategic goals and objectives.

About the Cards Support Specialist position:Consistent with the credit union mission of providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the Cards Support Specialist will support the administration and operational staff of the Card Services & ATM Department in conjunction with policies and programs that support and further the credit union with the strategic goals and objectives.
- Support the administration and operational staff of Card Services & ATM Department in conjunction with policies and programs that support and further the Credit Union and strategy. Work independently and/or collaboratively with others to maintain efficient procedures and to answer any questions.
Cards Support Specialist Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for taking calls/chats from Financial Center and Call Center (and even directly from member) on member issues related to cards, including doing day-to-day processing and servicing functions.
- Perform file maintenance and monitor various assigned debit/credit card reports daily.
- Resolves member complaints regarding incorrect postings, billing discrepancies, balance transfer issues etc.
- Enters new accounts on credit card platform as needed. Review Meridian Link New Account Bookings and make corrections as needed. Services Business Credit Cards.
- Maintains a complete working knowledge of Credit Card System, including, the rewards platform, the Credit Card online banking platforms and all associated enhancements to assist Financial Center staff and members.
- Processes payment exceptions, adjustments, line increases, NSF and suspensions, closed account notices and other file maintenance. Handles all returned mail and follows procedures for any name and address changes. Responds to and resolves Credit Card cases from the Financial Centers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multi-task. Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties; has the ability and initiative to organize goals and be a strong team player.
- Responsible for participating in AmeriCU’s “on call” support for ATM/ITMs.
- Provide exemplary member service by actively listening, identifying, and offering solutions in an accurate, prompt and professional manner, maintaining confidentiality and exceeding the members’ expectation. (MVP-1Team).
- Make accurate/timely monetary and non-monetary adjustments to GL’s and member’s accounts, as needed, including balancing of General Ledgers monthly.
