Location: Mohawk Valley, based at our Rome location - 1916 Black River Blvd, Rome, NY 13440
$52,855/year to $79,283/year actual rate will depend on experience
Position is incentive eligible!

About the Business Development Officer/Member Partner Advisor position:
Consistent with the credit union mission of providing our members the right financial services to live life, dream big and achieve financial success, the Business Development Officer/Member Partner Advisor will plan, lead and generate production in areas of demand to contribute to the continued profitable growth of AmeriCU Credit Union, AmeriCU Insurance Services LLS and AmeriCU Investment Services. Primarily responsible for directing regional business development efforts by researching, prospecting, and presenting to current and potential business partners and actively calling on key contacts. Professionally represent AmeriCU’s companies and capabilities in the recruitment of new members and further development of relationships with existing members to increase accounts and grow the overall product portfolio.
Some Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Produce sales volume to meet or exceed goals and budgeted forecasts in each of AmeriCU’s core product categories: New Members, New Business Partners and maintenance of existing member partner relationships as well as loan products.
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of business intelligence in AmeriCU’s footprint, and in communities immediately contiguous to AmeriCU’s footprint to analyze potential for AmeriCU’s services in specific business situations.
  • Solicit, schedule and conduct tailored, needs-based consultative visits and sales presentations to senior management of potential and existing Member Partners to attract new business relationships to the Credit Union. Business relationships constitute engaging AmeriCU for worksite financial education and counseling, insurance or retirement plan management.
  • Serve a primary point of contact for AmeriCU with member partners. This includes ongoing relationship management and assuring business partner satisfaction.
  • Maintain MRM system by logging all business development activities. Utilizes Salesforce and other assessment and reporting to coordinate efforts and develop a deep understanding of Member Partner and prospective Member Partner needs while identifying new opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge necessary to remain a highly skilled subject matter expert in the products and services of each of AmeriCU’s companies. Provide expertise and client-facing support to drive, develop and close business and maintain mutually beneficial member relationships.
  • Work internally with Financial Center staff in both training and cultivating referrals for new business services opportunities.
  • Report monthly and quarterly on all aspects of member partner development.
  • Enroll new members at member partner worksite.
