**Job Description:**
Wicked Wolf Philadelphia is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Head Chef in the daily operations of our high-volume kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive the highest quality dining experience.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Assist in Menu Development:** Collaborate with the Head Chef in creating innovative and appealing menu items that align with our brand and customer preferences.
2. **Food Preparation:** Oversee food preparation activities, including but not limited to, chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
3. **Kitchen Management:** Manage kitchen staff, including delegation of tasks, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure smooth and efficient operation during peak hours.
4. **Inventory Management:** Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, and assist in placing orders to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
5. **Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:** Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
6. **Quality Control:** Conduct regular inspections of food items to ensure freshness and adherence to recipe specifications.
7. **Scheduling:** Assist in creating kitchen staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods while managing labor costs effectively.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or sports bar environment.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
