Overview

Keen Transport, a Wallenius Wilhelmsen company , is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Administrative Assistant / Dispatcher at our Brunswick, GA office.

The primary responsibility of this position will be to maintain all office operations and perform clerical support for shipping and receiving, storage, and customer service activities.

The Administrative Assistant / Dispatcher must work closely with yard personnel to maintain communications when they are off-site or otherwise engaged in activities in order to promote efficiency and meet the shipping requirements of our customers.

This position will train in our Pooler, GA location while we are still building our Brunswick Equipment Processing Center.

Travel stipend offered for duration of training.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibiities :

• Ensure accurate and timely entry of all information into various computer programs used for production, shipping and receiving, and assembly work performed in East Peoria, IL.

Will require use of TMW software experience preferred. Receive and verify load information via load check to be conducted with loading staff, and sign out driver with the correct load and corresponding paperwork.

• Effectively communicate with all other Keen departments & facilities internally. Report issues or delays that affect Keen’s customer service performance.
• Oversee and audit Keen work orders for the loading of containers or other billable operations beyond standard loading procedures.
• Maintain storage and machine exercise records as information is provided by yard staff.
• Entry of Daily Yard Check as delivered by supervisor and submission to all appropriate parties.
• Review plant shipping reports and update as required.
• Advise customer service of plant releases, including configurations of all units and parts received.

Qualifications

Requirements :

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and database programs.
• Ability to effectively communicate with fleet drivers and outside carriers.
• Advanced understanding of shipping and warehouse / storage procedures.
• Deadline oriented and ability to work in a potentially stressful environment.
• May be some lifting.
• Will spend time in the shipping facility and outside yards.
• Must meet all necessary attendance requirements.
• Must pass post offer drug test
