Overview
The Service/Events Manager is responsible for the detailing and servicing of all, groups, banquet events, and meetings at the hotel. The Manager ensures that internal information is properly compiled and disseminated to the operations team for execution. The Manager provides on-floor oversight for all in-house group events, which may entail working evening and weekend hours.
The Manager will provide an active and positive contribution to the Sales Team through customer advocacy, sustained revenue achievement, communication, and team participation.
Responsibilities
    - Manage the detailing function of all banquets, group events, and meetings
    - Hold weekly group BEO meetings and communicate the needs of group guests to all departments through follow-up communication
    - Liaise with F&B to ensure that menus are up to date and distribute any price changes to the sales team
    - Liaise with property outlets to ensure that information and pricing are up to date and distribute any price changes to the sales team
    - Ensure that function room setups are done well and that customer expectations are met
    - Service all groups as well as the meeting portions of room blocks booked by the Sales Team
    - Optimize room rental charges and peripheral revenue by suggesting additions to events
    - Coordinate food, set up, and cleaning arrangements with F&B and Housekeeping for all events
    - Work with the DOS to maintain the function diary and all changes in Maestro
    - Update the function diary during the event planning process to reflect client needs as they develop
    - Coordinate with Housekeeping for maintenance and cleaning of all meeting rooms
    - Work with clients to provide innovative set-ups and menus to meet their needs
    - Coordinate AV requirements of clients and ensure all equipment is ordered and set up properly while achieving high profits from AV rentals.
    - Send tentative statements and invoices for group events and post charges to the master invoice.
    - Create final invoices working with other departments to obtain actual counts and charges.
    - Generate group resumes and other reports as outlined by DOS.
    - Optimize revenue through suggestive selling during the planning process to increase banquet revenue.
    - The coordinator will contact group contact and ensure that group functions are running smoothly prior to leaving the property.
    - Work in partnership with other hotel departments and outside vendors to find solutions for client needs.
    - Assist with site visits if a sales manager or DOS is not available
