Vir Biotechnology is seeking a Sr. Manager for our Business Operations team to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional environment. You will support clinical benchmarking and site budget development, escalation, and payment activities for Translational and Clinical Development department (TCD). You will report to the Associate Director, Business Operations team and partner with the functional leads of departments to establish strategic approaches for fair market value negotiations, enable site activations and accurate site payments. This is a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES:

• You will lead the development of pricing strategies for site budgets to enable contract execution and site activation.
• You will lead the EDC/budget alignment discussions with Clinical Data management and external partners to ensure the accuracy and execution of site payments.
• You will collaborate with the Site Contracts team on contract negotiations and execution.
• You will partner with VIR legal to review and negotiate clinical trial agreement escalations.
• You will collaborate with external functional service provider (FSP) on site budget template, study-level work orders and POs, and site payment processes.
• You will be responsible for approval of site-level invoices.
• You will collaborate with Clinical Operations and Clinical Data Management to enable agreement of site budget.
• You will partner with the Clinical Finance team to provide study-wide site payment estimates and forecasts.
• You will be responsible for ommunicatingthe status of deliverables to key partners.
• You will identify and implement departmental processes or standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• B.A./B.S. degree and 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Perform complex analysis, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Demonstrate flexibility but follow organizational standards and processes where established.
• Develop and implement new ideas and solutions to increase the efficiency of the department.
• Exhibit strong negotiation and persuasion skills
• Advanced Excel experience is preferred.
