The perfect candidate comprehends the importance of quality room service, banquet presentations, breakfast, pastry and desserts, employee meal component and overall food and beverage operation of a hotel. They also ensure the application of food safety and sanitation best practices at all times.
The Executive Sous Chef is as comfortable in the office as they are behind the hot line. In addition to a mastery of the culinary arts, this person also possesses impressive business acumen. Their years of professional management experience have produced strengths in employee relations and labor management as well as a command of purchasing, inventory, and food cost controls. The Executive Sous Chef also demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication ability in English, and hopefully in Spanish as well. They are adept at working with Microsoft Office 365 applications, reading and interpreting Banquet Event Orders, and scheduling and processing payroll.
