Job Description

Our client is a hospitality company that has revolutionized the way beverage inventory is managed by offering a first of its kind non-intrusive beverage sensor technology and web-enabled software to empower better inventory management and improved draft system diagnostics to bars, breweries, restaurants, and stadiums east and west of the Chesapeake Bay (throughout Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, D.C.).

Position Overview : The Sales Development Representative will play a significant role in supporting the CEO, Executives, and Senior Leadership by helping to generate new business opportunities for the company.

This role reflects the ability to identify, contact, and qualify potential customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing the company’s products and services and using comprehensive knowledge, as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities to generate new leads through calls, emails, and social media.
  • Research and identify potential clients, understanding their business needs and pain points.
  • Engage with prospects to qualify them based on predefined criteria.
  • Assess the potential for business opportunities and schedule meetings for the Sales team.
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition to prospects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through ongoing communication.
  • Record and manage all lead information and interactions in the CRM system.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information on leads, opportunities, and activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align strategies and ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
  • Provide feedback to enhance marketing campaigns and improve lead generation.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and qualification.

Requirements

This position will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires a diverse set of skills and experience. While we understand that no single candidate can possess every qualification listed below, the following are priority areas :

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Development Representative or in a similar role. (Ideally 5-7 years.)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Solid understanding of HubSpot and / or other sales and forecasting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Skill in crafting and delivering presentations and briefings.
  • Ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Analytical mindset to gather, analyze, and interpret data for decision-making.
  • Proven project management skills to oversee and manage initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on achieving goals within specified timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to represent the executive effectively in various settings.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate a dynamic work environment.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage the executives schedule.
  • Awareness of organizational dynamics and the ability to navigate political nuances.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations, including crisis management.
