Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida. We are seeking to hire a Government Operations Consultant I who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-based work environment.

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Plan Management Operations (PMO). PMO is responsible for the primary oversight of Medicaid’s managed care programs, with a focus on the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program. The bureau’s primary responsibility is ensuring that the managed care plans meet Medicaid contractual requirements, including the timely provision of medically needed services and provider payment for such services.

This position is responsible for

-Assisting the Bureau Chief by handling the daily administrative/operational functions of the chief's office & bureau.

-Assisting with purchasing and budget.

-Acting as the bureau's personnel liaison. This includes preparing and routing the following: Requests to Advertise (RTAs),

Personnel Action Requests (PARs), Classification Action Requests (CARs), Position Descriptions (PDs), and any other type of

personnel document.

-Organizing and maintaining a correspondence tracking system (CorrFlow) for all work products originating outside of the bureau for review/approval/dissemination to section administrator and or division/agency management.

-Ensuring that all work products for review/approval are logged and routed appropriately and tracked through to completion of the review/approval process.

-Organizing and maintaining a tracking system for work issues to be completed by section staff.

-Routine office purchases for entire bureau.

-Acting as coordinator of support staff.

-Preparing travel authorizations and travel reimbursements for the Bureau Chief and other members of the bureau.

-Assisting in identifying items to be put into surplus, completing forms, and coordinating pickup.

-Coordinating and maintenance of access to the online SMMC Drive, FTP site, and FLMMIS as applicable.

This position is not a remote or telework position; it will have to report to a Field Office or the Headquarters in Tallahassee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

•Two (2) years of administrative or office clerical work experience.

•Two (2) years’ experience managing a calendar and/or schedule.

•Two (2) years’ experience with Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

•Experience with the Statewide Travel Management System, MFMP, and Corrflow preferred.
