MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, training and development, education, or administrative work. 

A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one(1) year of the required experience. 

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.Please Note: There will be a numerically based work sample administered with an established minimum required passing score to all eligible candidates as part of the hiring process for this position.

Successful applicant must pass a background screening, including fingerprinting, as a condition of employment. 

JOB DUTIES: 

Responsible for receiving risk protection order records, researching respondent information in various databases (Reflections, IPM, and CCIS) to determine whether the respondent holds licenses issued by the division, entering information in Reflections and IPM, and notifying appropriate parties within the division regarding the status of applicants or licensees as respondents so appropriate administrative action can be initiated. Communicate with clerks of court to obtain additional information when required. 

Responsible for independently preparing responses to public records requests received from State Attorneys Offices and ensuring compliance with Chapter 119, 493 and 790.06, Florida Statutes. Responsible for coordinating responses to public records requests with the division’s Senior Attorney and keeping supervisor informed on public records requests, complex correspondence generated, and all administrative actions performed. Distribute subpoenas and responsive records to regional office representatives who may appear in court to authenticate division documents. 

Maintains current information on department, policies, programs, and processes and provides customer assistance. Processes a variety of correspondence. Consistently tracks files and assists in the development of materials, reports, and correspondence in support of special projects. 

Perform other related duties as required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication.
  • Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations.
  • Knowledge of Chapter 493 and section 790.06, F.S.
