Seattle Gourmet Foods is Hiring a Customer Service Representative (FT) Near Kent, WA

- Answer incoming calls – determine the nature of the call and direct to appropriate individuals.
- Take wholesale (B2B) orders; verify customer information and credit card info (when applicable), suggest new and seasonal products, assist new customers with procedures and product details, direct new accounts to our wholesale website.
- Receive and process Product Concern Reports from wholesale and retail customers; interviewing customer to identify nature of the issue, collecting support documents and information, retrieving product if necessary, communicating to team based on severity of issue.
- Order entry for wholesale and special accounts which can include managing data in customer portals.
- Day-to-day management of our wholesale website; this includes new customer set up, access approvals, order processing, and responding to customer emails.
- Resolving customer claims for short or lost shipments, tracking and supplying delivery information as needed.
- Welcome visitors, have them sign in and assure they review our GMP requirements.
- Manage internal and external mail, including processing USPS shipments out of the office.
- Assist sales team with projects including sample preparation and shipping, data entry and management, maintaining conference room to be ready for in-office visits.
- Assist other departments with special projects as needed.
- Providing coverage for the Customer Service Manager when out of office.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 or more years' work experience in a related job preferred.
- Food/distribution Industry experience a plus.
- A positive demeanor and enjoyment of working with people. (inside and outside of company)
- An eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Desire to create and maintain structure; but the flexibility to complete tasks that may fall out of the daily routine.
- Ability to not take upset customers personally and impact performance throughout the day.
- Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information.
- Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly.
- Strong writing and speaking skills.
- Proficiency with the core Microsoft Office365 applications. (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Humility, a strong work ethic and common sense about people.
- The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM on site.
- $25-30/hour DOE.
- Full Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation and paid holidays and option for 401K with company match.
