Roessel Joy has partnered with mid-sized Boston law firm looking for a Legal Assistant to support mid-level attorneys in their Trust and Estates practice. Ideal candidates have some experience in law firms and are comfortable in a legal assistant seat. Direct experience with Trust and Estates is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a history of supporting attorneys. This role requires four days a week in the office.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and finalizing legal documents
• Assist attorneys in preparing, organizing and finalizing documents for closings
• Organize and maintain client and transaction files
• Interact with clients both in person and over the phone
• Maintain attorney calendars and monitor deadlines and due dates on incoming correspondence
• Schedule appointments, make travel arrangements, and answer telephones
• Prepare attorney expense reports
• Pleadings management
• Extensive work with communicating with client

Qualifications include:

• Experience supporting attorneys directly
• Bachelors Degree
• Legal trust and estate experience highly preferred.
