Summary:

The AP Specialist is primarily responsible for providing support to the Finance Department with a focused effort in the areas of Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities – Accounts Payable:

• Manage vendor accounts through vendor qualifications, credit applications, and set-up in NetSuite

• Manage vendor invoices by obtaining supportive documents, coordinate approvals at the appropriate level, review account coding for accuracy and file appropriate paperwork

• Review invoices for appropriate sales tax, seek correction by vendor as needed

• Research aged payables and assist with resolution as needed

• Respond to all vendor inquiries. Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies

• Maintain vendor filing system and conduct filing of accounting documents as needed

• Monitor the AP inbox. Work through and respond to inquiries to resolve questions/issues effectively and timely.

• Manage and record vendor payments made via CC, Wire, and/or ACH.

• Other duties as assigned by the AP Supervisor based on priorities.

• Basic understanding of accounting

• Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, PDF manipulation and Outlook

Education and Experience:

• 2 years of experience directly related to the responsibilities specified

• 2 years of customer service and client communications

Position Type/Work Schedule:

This is a hybrid full-time 40-hour week, non-exempt position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, with Tuesday and Thursday in the office.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position
