About the Role: Alcority is currently seeking a professional Accounts Payable Associate to join our Accounts Payable team to assist with processing, tracking, and analyzing full-cycle AP processing in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The ideal candidate will use excellent communication skills and high accuracy/attention to detail to successfully carry out the processes of the AP department. The candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of AP procedures, including coding invoices, requesting approvals, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. This role will report to the Accounts Payable Manager. Responsibilities: Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices Request and follow-up on invoice approvals Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Follow protocol of setting up new vendors in the accounting system Ensure vendor invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner Initiate wire transfer payments in the online banking system Perform month-end closing procedures Establish and maintain successful relationships with new and existing vendors Ability to maintain confidential data, enforce internal controls, and comply with policies and procedures Support system implementations Drive efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes Support the annual 1099 filing process Perform other duties as required to support the Accounts Payable department Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field is a plus 2 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience Knowledge of accounting and accounts payable best practices Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, and exercises strong self-review in work Ability to manage a fast-paced, dynamic environment, strong sense of time management Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other large ERP system a plus Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience collaborating cross-functionally with different business stakeholders, clients, and teams It is impossible to list every requirement for, or responsibility of, any position.
