About the Role

RainFocus is reinventing how people plan, manage, participate and understand events. Partnering with sales, marketing, and client success, the Product Manager role plays a critical part in driving our company forward by leading a product team in establishing a vision and delivering high quality and well thought out solutions that our customers will love and that meet the needs of the market. This role can be filled as a mid or Sr. Product Manager depending on experience. If you have a passion for building products the right way, we need you!

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand our customers, product, and market in order to create a vision and products that work well for customers and drive the business forward
  • Consistently and clearly determine priority and help others in the organization understand tradeoffs and direction
  • Facilitate effective and early design and discovery that involves people outside your team and outside our organization
  • Use market data, customer data, and user data to make informed priority decisions
  • Work with UX and engineering teams to plan, architect, and design product features, and coordinate cross-team planning and architecture when needed
  • Write user stories with detailed requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria for development
  • Be an expert in the product solution area of ownership, understanding the business cases and desired outcomes of solution
  • Fill product owner responsibilities by managing, planning, and helping execute scrum team development sprints within an agile environment
  • Translate business challenges and opportunities into solutions by working with UX, architects, and engineers
  • Build relationships with customers and make their voice heard with your teamProvide support and training internally on released items
  • Contribute to the overall quality of the product by verifying features are built correctly and according to design, requirements, and business use cases
  • Create and maintain team roadmap aligned to company direction and strategy
  • Work with product marketing to take products and features to market
  • Define and measure success criteria for releases
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven capability to define and prioritize market segments as well as pair with key customer problems to a clear vision for your product area
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, problem solve, improvise, and function as part of a team
  • Aptitude for learning, using, and training on sophisticated software systems
  • Technical ability to understand systems and understand how different users will use software
  • Experience understanding gaps/problems in a software offering and providing solutions/recommendations for improvement
  • Superior communications skills, both written and verbalTeam player skilled at both managing and working as part of a team
  • Ability to work with data to understand the business
  • Ability to research and compile data that helps determine strategic direction and priority
  • Proficient working with others in the organization to ensure company and market are ready for changes to the software
  • Experience working in SAAS environmentScrum/Kanban Agile Experience preferred

Location

This remote role can be located anywhere in the United States of America. Travel may be required.
