PASONA N A, INC. is Hiring a HR Manager Near Chicago, IL

What you will do

  • Perform as a hands-on, strategic partner to the business with deep understanding while designing and implementing a scalable HR strategy
  • Consistently embody Company's values
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR strategies/programs/processes related but not limited to performance management, employee engagement, onboarding/offboarding, compensation, and benefits & perks
  • Partner with management team to plan, analyze, develop staffing needs, and determine organizational structure
  • Coordinate recruitment process for exempt and non-exempt openings, initiate and coordinate recruitment ads, review applications/resumes, assist managers with screening applicants, ensure offers are made in accordance with procedures, coordinate new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures, and coordinate other onboarding procedures
  • Build, train, and lead HR team to create team dynamics and maximize the team ability
  • Collaborate closely with the broader Operations team (Accounting, Legal, etc.) to ensure our people operations programs, processes, and systems align with our business goals and manage risk appropriately
  • Partner with management team to resolve employee relations issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate
  • Plan and organize training / all-hands meetings
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employment

What are we looking for?

  • 8 years of full time work experience after completing an undergraduate degree
  • Proven track record as a HR generalist, preferably in a senior role
  • Demonstrated experience leading HR initiatives and teams collaborating at all levels
  • Well versed in employment law, compliance, payroll and various leave policies such as FMLA
  • Experience of designing and delivering HR policies, procedures, offers, compensation & benefit programs, performance & development programs and coaching
  • Fantastic communication, Written and oral, internal, and external. Also, you are a patient listener
  • Great at scope and schedule tradeoffs, and balancing stakeholder expectations with realistic execution
  • Enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a fast paced startup environment and getting things done
  • Logical thinking to identify the right issues and solve them effectively and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Bilingual in English/Japanese is a plus
