JOB SUMMARY: Greet guests and team members and direct them to the appropriate individual in Human Resources. Answer all general HR telephone calls and direct callers to the appropriate individual or department. Perform complex clerical work involving independent judgment, requiring accuracy and speed. Coordinate the application processes. Assists Team Members with completing requests through the self-service system. Maintain confidentiality. Operate modern office equipment, including but not limited to personal computer, photocopier, binding machine, fax machine, digital camera, and data entry equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
  • Knowledge of casino promotions.
  • Deliver excellent guest service—in person, on the phone, through correspondence.
  • Greets and refers guests and Team Members to staff in the Human Resources Department
  • Perform specialized technical clerical work with speed and accuracy.
  • Sort incoming mail.
  • Take HR meeting notes.
  • Generate frequent written correspondence to include job posting, candidate correspondence and telephone communication with candidates.
  • Assist internal/external applicants with the application.
  • Assist with maintaining the applicant tracking system
  • Scan and upload documents into the HRIS system and shared HR drive.
  • Monitor HR supplies and place re-orders as necessary.
  • Reset HRIS passwords for team members.
  • Administer pre-employment tests, grade tests and enter test scores into HRIS.
  • Accept HR Conference Room and HR Training Room schedules.
  • Order and keep inventory of all HR office supplies.
  • Perform employment verifications for terminated and current Team Members.
  • Maintain filing system of Team Member records.
  • Back up for HR Coordinator.
  • Provides guest service reception assistance as needed.
  • Check in visitors and bag checks for Casino 2nd level guest entrance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required skills and knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • One (1) year of experience doing office/reception work, or
  • Successful completion of one (1) year of training in use of office equipment.
  • One (1) year of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Experience working in an HR office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit for assigned shift.
  • Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
