New Dream Inc. is a computer solution and e-commerce company located in Lake Oswego, with locations in Wilsonville and Pennsylvania. We currently have an opening for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Lake Oswego. Our environment includes a modern office setting, snacks, and a casual work environment.
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting principles, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a high level of accuracy in their work. The Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. This role will also be responsible for some ordering and reporting. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members as well as working independently to complete daily and monthly goals.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve bookkeeping discrepancies.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management as needed.
Evaluate current procedures and make recommendations toward efficiency and effectiveness.
Order supplies and equipment as requested and manage transactions.
Participate in developing accounting practices and procedures.
Provide administrative support as needed; approximately 20% of the time.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work independently, multitask, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Remain professional and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
