Position: Technician Operation Manager

New Dream Inc is a growing E-Commerce and IT company in Lansdale, PA. There is currently an opening for a Technician Operation Manager to join our team. This is a unique position that combines the roles of technician and warehouse operation. If you have professional experience in operation management, and are interested in tech, this will be an ideal position for you.

We have the structure that have two operation managers to run technician operations and warehouse operations. Both operation managers should know the whole operation and cover each other on a daily basis. This opening is more focus on the technician operation side.

This position is full-time, paying $27 per hour as well as a yearly bonus based on performance. We offer benefits including competitive pay, health insurance, PTO, 401K, bonus pay, and employee discount.

Job Description:

The operation manager achieves a safe and professional environment for technician operation to upgrade and build computers, with proper inventory control. Responsible for maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy in management tasks, inventory counts, supply ordering, returns and RMAs, and more.

Work with developers to improve our technician operation system, since we developed our own software for our operation (no software development experience is required, mainly work with developer as an user). Backup for the operation in the warehouse when needed, eventually fully understand the whole operation of the business.

Schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday 10:00AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• The main responsibility of technician operation is managing technicians on daily basis to complete desktop builds, computer upgrades, RMA, and refurbished computers.
• Need to learn how to upgrade computers and build custom desktops. The requirement is operation manager needs to help physical work when it is needed.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Completes technician operation requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
• Maintains technicians by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains technical staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development, testing, and rolling out of new internal software/systems.
• This position requires expertise in administrative and organization workplace policies along with supervisory responsibilities and strong leadership skills. A working background in technical work with an emphasis on leveraging cutting-edge technology is a must. Teamwork, reliability, dependability, flexibility, and the ability to problem solve are important characteristics for the position.
• Fully understand the warehouse operation and cover the warehouse operation in the days that are needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 year of leadership required.
• Experience in a technician operation with PCs is a plus.
• Experience with project management and inventory control
• Familiar with computer systems, Microsoft Office Suite, scanner equipment, digital scales, etc.
• Ability to completely manage technical staff. This includes recruitment, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
• Ambition to step into IT world is a plus.
