Job Summary
The Controller is to assist the CFO in safeguarding hospital assets and ensuring the financial statements, including books and records, are prepared and maintained in accordance with GAAP. Like the CFO, the Controller is responsible for ensuring compliance with company financial and accounting polices and procedures and also ensuring internal controls are effective in both design and operation, including the routine monitoring of controls. The Controller is to ensure the monthly close deadlines are timely met, account reconciliation and supporting documentation is maintained for all activities, account analysis is performed, prepare various packages as requested (e.g., cost report, tax, etc.) and to assist in various projects as requested. The Controller is to assist the CFO who is responsible for the identification and independent assessment of financial risk, establishment and monitoring of mitigation plans, and for the communication of financial risk and opportunity to the regional CFO and hospital CEO. The Controller is to assist the CFO in the monitoring of the financial performance and the maintenance of reasonable and appropriate financial plan and forecasts.
Education
Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. MHA, MBA or CPA designation or currently working toward one of these is strongly preferred.
