The manager, human resources is the hub of all things related to staff and the employment relationship at Consumer Brands. The role is responsible for the employment lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to compensation and benefits, training and employee relations, and staff engagement. Reporting to the vice president of operations, with a dotted line to the chief operating officer and general counsel, this position consults with the executive team on policies and practices to ensure strategic and cultural alignment with the organization’s priorities.
Key Areas of Responsibility PeopleCollaborate with hiring managers on staffing including facilitating recruitment and hiring processes, obtaining temporary services as needed, and leading onboarding of new hires. Also leads and facilitates termination and offboarding processes.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers and employees (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective and objective investigations.
Collaborate with the finance team and payroll vendor to coordinate and execute payroll.
Update and maintain critical employment and compliance documentation.
Design, manage and administer employment benefits, including annual renewals, open enrollment and rolling enrollment.
Develop, coordinate, and deliver annual trainings such as harassment prevention and supervisory training.
Develop and implement HR policy and provides guidance and interpretation.
Lead and facilitate the annual performance review process.
Maintain working knowledge of legal requirements related to compliance, reducing legal risks and day-to-day management of employees.
Collaborate with the office manager to maintain a positive in-office experience for team members.
