The position of Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) assists the Controller, Project Accountants, team members, and MYCON operations team in the accounts payable function to include vendor invoice data entry, payment of invoices, vendor account management and records maintenance for our four divisions from the HQ office in Dallas, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

• Manages full accounts payment function to include:
  • Process incoming vendor invoices and expenses, code per account and cost center and in accordance with internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Process payments for vendor invoices and expenses ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Review and verify vendor statements on a regular basis (minimum monthly)
  • Assist in the monthly financial close out process
  • Monitor vendor accounts for timely and accurate receipt of invoices and subsequent payments
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and take proper action on past due billings
  • Liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
  • Process credit card payments through vendor imports into the accounting system and ensure accuracy in data transfer
  • Year-end reporting as assigned
  • Assistance with providing information and repots for the annual financial audit as needed
• Responsible for General Accounting process
  • Maintains associated excel spreadsheets for
  • Assists with request for payment verification and status
  • Performs monthly end close and record reconciling verification
• Work with accounting management and team ensuring proper compliance of accounting procedures including reviewing and analyzing vendor payments and account management.
• Prepares reports as requested utilizing manual methods and/or computer
