THE JOB:
The Paralegal is responsible for assisting the Corporate Labor & Employment department attorneys in the delivery of legal services to MGM Resorts International and its subsidiary organizations.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Retain expert witnesses and coordinate and set depositions of witnesses.
Draft correspondences, memorandums, and prepare legal documents for review and approval by the Corporate Labor & Employment Department Attorneys.
Organize and maintain case files and materials.
Manage and update master case lists (for litigation both inside and outside of Nevada) and prepare, oversee, and maintain calendars for the Department Attorneys.
File legal documents in various courts, including state and federal courts.
Provide administrative support as needed; perform advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative and paralegal duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
Conduct client and witness interviews; conduct legal research.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
4 Years of prior relevant experience.
Demonstrated in-house experience is preferred.
Possess a strong sense of organization, consistently demonstrating attention to detail and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
